Meet the Owners
Dave & Shari Holman

Dave and Shari bring a warm, personal touch to everything they do. Both grew up in East Bloomington and have shared 36 wonderful years of marriage. Together, they’ve raised five children, each of whom has served as a custodian of the building. Over the years, tenants have watched the Holman children grow from playful kids to accomplished adults—a testament to the close-knit, community-focused environment of 201 West Travelers Trail.

When they aren’t at the building, Dave and Shari love spending time on the scenic Gunflint Trail, hosting friends and family, and enjoying their home in rural Rice County. As the owners of Millersburg Properties since 2006, the Holmans take pride in running their building with heart. Dave has operated The Law Office of David S. Holman, Ltd since 1993 and has been a tenant in the building since 1997, where continues his law practice. Meanwhile, Shari manages the property with dedication, ensuring it remains a welcoming and well-maintained space. Together, they embody the essence of a “Mom and Pop” operation, placing tenant care and a warm, at-home atmosphere at the center of all they do.

The History Behind
201 West Travelers Trail

1963

Built in 1963 by Dick Taylor and Dick Gentz, this building is the original and earliest office building in Burnsville. Historically, this building was known as the Warrior building.


mid- 1960's

1970's

Western Branch Courthouse of Dakota County moves in, taking up three-fourths of the building, among other small businesses.

1988

"Building home to early businesses in Burnsville's infancy" article highlighting how many different companies have been started and grown within the walls of the building. 

The building was the home to Herbie’s restaurant, an infamous lunch spot on the lower floor of the building.

1997

The Law Office of David S. Holman, Ltd. moves into the building. And just 9 years later, Dave would purchase the building and make himself a permanent home at 201.

2006

Current owners, Dave and Shari, own the building with the mission to preserve the historic building's integrity and continue to be a home for contractors, engineers, lawyers, and other professionals.
